So you're gay, new to town, need a job...and want to work at a gay or gay friendly place? This is exactly where to look. Below, you will find local bars, clubs and restaurants in San Diego that you can visit and apply for a job. They have a constant turn around (you know how flaky gays are...so they get fired when they don't show up to work!) so be sure to ask to meet the manager and make sure you turn in an application to him/her if available. There are some gay/gay friendly hotels here too.

Generally, if you look for a job in or around San Diego areas (Hillcrest, University Heights, North Park, Normal Heights, etc)... it is best to show up in person and ask for an application. These areas are very community oriented.

In addition to bars and clubs, don't for get places like LGBT Center!

The Hole is the oldest dive bar in SD.  It used to be the underground gay bar back in the day.  LONG ASS lines unless get there early.  Outside... go down the stairs in to the lions den.  Literally, everyone is outside in a big area and the only way in is by entering the door way and walking down the stairs with everyone checking you out as you come down LOL... hilarious.  Big outside seating areas, covered and uncovered, loud music at at the bar...so loud it will hurt your ears unless you have been drinking.  All types of people.... more of a real mans bar than a jock or pretty boy bar.  Lots of bartenders, barbacks, managers, etc.  http://www.thehole.com/
