The NEW Blackberry 4G (TRITON) - Coming June 2012

By

Blackberry 4G

New Blackberry 4g - Release likely June 2012 - REVIEW.

Say hello...to the new Blackberry, 4G with an app store...The Blackberry Triton! The unofficial name (Triton) suits it well as it will be without a doubt, the best blackberry ever... strong, fast, and elite.

The new Blackberry 4G, (4G capable) will be available on most networks, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular. On AT&T's HSPA 14.4 network, it will offer faster Internet speeds than previous 3g Blackberry's. Verizon Wireless' 4g network (LTE) - Long Term Evolution along with Sprint and T-Mobile (4G Networks), will offer lightening speeds...4-8 times faster than 3G speeds, with coverage available over broader areas. The Blackberry 4g Triton will be made with both CDMA and GSM technology, making it compatible on all U.S. Carriers.

No more downloading apps from websites or using desktop managers to install and remove items, this Blackberry 4g can access the app store right from the phone! With the Blackberry 4G App World, you can get the best applications, instantly.

This new Blackberry 4g is set to have a sleek, modern design with a touch of the Blackberry Torch in it's functionality. The functions for the phone itself are an enhanced version of the Storm and Torch, such as accessing the phone book, calendar, etc... but the home screen is wide open for you to customize with applications from the new Blackberry App World. The new Blackberry Triton has app makers scrambling to write the best applications possible to be worthy of the Blackberry line. The new Blackberry will run on the new Blackberry 7OS (Operating System) and the processor is a 1.2-Ghz, single-core Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8655, and the phone has 768MB of RAM and 4GB of storage.

List of possible features:

Mini Camera on front for Video Chat

High Definition 8.0 Mega Pixel Camera

High Definition Camcorder 720P

High Definition Audio

HD Memory Card

OLED Screen

Multi-Touch Navigation

True GPS

Youtube

Blackberry App World

Get ready to customize your blackberry 4g in way you never imagined. Download the Facebook application right to your Blackberry 4g Triton...add the Bloomberg application to keep up on the financial world. Want a mortgage calculator? A pharmacology guide?...or just about anything you can imagine... simply access the Blackberry 4g App World and it's yours in seconds. This app store and phone will work a lot like the iPhone in terms of downloading applications. You can download apps and store them on the internal memory at 8G or an external memory card holding up to 32G of memory, making this Blackberry 4g comparable to other phones on the market.

With the new Blackberry 4g, you can surf the web, stream live video, audio, download movies, games and video chat live at lightning Blackberry 4g speeds.

The new Blackberry 4g will have a seriously improved web browser. It will have FULL HTML Web Browsing with multi tough navigation. Even though the current Blackberry Torch claims to have that, it doesn't quite measure up. The new blackberry 4g web browser will now stand proud next to iPhone and HTC Evo browsers.

Multi Touch Navigation makes it almost impossible to select the wrong function from the touch screen. Using multi touch technology, the screen is able to register multiple points being selected at one time which makes viewing and selecting material effortless on the new Blackberry 4g.

The Blackberry 4g Triton has quite a few unique features possible. The home screen buttons have been updated to reflect a more modern, exciting interaction in order to place a call or surf the web and a redesigned QWERTY keyboard.

Who's network should the new Blackberry 4G be on? Not sure about AT&T, they are bogged down enough with iPhone... Sprint has the best and cheapest calling plans...but poor coverage...we do have information that suggests Verizon Wireless will get the new Blackberry 4g first, but what do you think? WHO should get it? Comment below and see what others are saying.

i think metro pc should come out wit it

I hope Verizon is the carrier. Furthermore, BB has to hit the ground running. Providing variety (Storm, Torch, Curve, Bold, World, Triton) for the end users will significantly improve their image and have lasting and sustaining perpetual, positive affect on its market share. Continuing its brand, and not compromising its business model, but enhancing it is what placed BB out in the fore front from inception. Remember your markets and flood them opportunties.

MasgarJUL 7 days ago

Thats really kool.

waiting to sea the final product 3 weeks ago

it's time BB gives it's customers leading edge technology and includes 1080p cam, lots of memory and shows up it's competion not just plays silly games. It would go far to improve it's image and stature.

Greg R 4 weeks ago

Verizon, without a doubt has the best coverage.

Dr Eyes 4 weeks ago

I have been holding out for this for the past few months. My storm 2 is on it's last leg. If it doesn't come out, I may have to switch to an android.

Mr.Busracer 2 months ago

I hope it is real this time. It's been what 2 years now that this thing was suppose to be out every six months or so. Had to finally go with a droid for now but can't stand it, won't sync with outlook worth a crap. Here the think though if it doesn't come out this time and if it's another half ass phone I will be going to IPhone. Love my Blackberrys and I have had many but there comes a time to get off the pot. RIM, in case your wondering now is the time.

Snarky Redhead 2 months ago

I spoke with Sprint and the reps are optimistic that Sprint will be getting a 4G BlackBerry in June. I use my BlackBerry for business and will never switch. Fingers crossed for June - my Curve is ready to retire. :)

FROM LONDON TO BROOKLYN 2 months ago

That phone looks awesome. I definitely can't wait for June. I hope they don't push it back to Christmas because I will be pissed!! Right now I use the 9900 for AT&T and also the 9860. It's time for an upgrade. COME ON RIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Di 2 months ago

I still have a BB 8350 and it is getting very tired. I vote for Verizon - but if it gets delayed again I will have to go to a different phone - having 4G for school and work is becoming mandatory.

never bother to comment but I am a BB user and had to say that AT&T are simply THIEFS. I am not sure the rest of you but I am a Miami resident and here we have great companys (Boost mobile, Simple Mobile) including Sprint that provide good service and coverage. I can't wait until AT&T finally charges its customers a fair rate! So my vote is any company BUT AT&T

christina d 8 months ago

I absoutley love this phone can not wait for it to come out,I think Sprint should defiently pick up on this one,I've been with Sprint for over 9yrs and looking forward to getting this phone..it has great features very well done :)

Jenn 8 months ago

I am a BlackBerry fan, and I cannot wait for this phone to come out. I have been tempted to convert to the "droid" system. But, I actually use the phone for work, not entertainment. I have the Curve, but am looking forward to more "entertainment" value. I don't want to purchase a table pc. So, will this live up to its boasting?

John C 8 months ago

If THEY DESIGN THIS LIKE THE NEW TORCH AND NOT THE NEW BB BOLD ILL BUY IT!

Alexandria 8 months ago

Phone has great functions, i love them all. But the only thing i don't like is how it looks. And looks for my phone is a big thing for me. So change how it looks and i'll be the first to buy it!

Mary M 8 months ago

I have the bb storm 9530 it it now 2 years+ I will be purchasing a new phone I am waiting to see what comes out over the next few months. I will be looking for a phone that is 100% compatible with the internet. That leaves the iphone out. I will consider a new blackberry because the one I have is well made I have dropped this a few times on concrete only to find it still worked.

Keith 9 months ago

Well, I've been waiting a long time. I am still using a blackberry Curve 8330. I updated the operating system from 4.3 to 4.5. Basically, I'm 3 operating systems behind. But, I don't see any real reason to upgrade my phone since the new operating systems still have terrible web browsing applications. I still like the blackberry operating system for business though better than any other phones. I hope they use a landscape keyboard like the epic.

thats great blackberry, step up your game and compete with the iphone and android markets. Then why o why, would you bring a camera with only 5.0 megapixels? very dissappointing in you are still behind tech wise with the camera phone. all in all, i went from my bb 9700 to the my touch 4g android. androids are still great for business and the only thing they lack to a bb is the battery life, which is easily fixable when you charge it, contstantly!!!! but with that i would like to move forward with another bb but you've just made a harder sell when a majority of everyday cell phone users carry their phone as a camera instead of lugging around a digital cam. And for men its more of a reason to up the cam res because we (or i) do not carry around a purse or fanny pack thingies...lol

5.0 megapixel cameras died in 07' and so will bb numbers if this is the "new upcoming great phone"!

john 9 months ago

im a verizon customer, and we already know that its certainly coming to us, we don't have that many blackberry's to choose from as it is, lord i cant waite til it comes out and i can do an upgrade, HEEEEEE HAWWWWWWWW!

Verizon!! Hopefully switching to Verizon in December and really want a nice Blackberry! The service I have now is horrible in my area so I'm very excited to switch.

Jean 9 months ago

Verizon has the BEST coverage handsdown. I was with Sprint 2 times on a contract. They were the reason I signed a contract with Verizon 2 times. At the south rim of the Grand Canyon, Verizon Wireless was the only carrier that had a signal...not even Sprint had a signal there. Also, outside of Seligman, Arizona, way back in the mountains, Verizon Wireless has a signal where Sprint is DOA...no signal at all. Also here in Sebring, Florida, my son was always complaining about not being able to hear me as it was always fading out, and dropping calls. Went to Verizon Wireless and signed two 2-year contracts, after Sprint royally screwed up my service. Now my son can hear me clearly and no more dropped calls. He prefers Verizon Wireless to Sprint anyday. He has nothing against Sprint, but not very good coverage and the signal is horrible. Verizon Wireless wins hands down with him. He refuses to consider any other carrier. Sprint also bungled my porting my number to Boost Mobile so I went to Verizon Wireless and no problem with service after Sprint's bungling. Verizon Wireless forever!!!

Bonnie 9 months ago

I can't wait for US Cellular to come out with this new Blackberry! I have been waiting for 2 years for a new Blackberry. We have been faithful customers of US Cellular for 12 years and not really wanting to change but I want a Blackberry like the Torch!! This would be awesome to get sooner then December 2011

LobosNani 10 months ago

Sprint has the best plan and as a customer for 12 years- I have yet to find an area Sprint does not cover-so they are a viable option as well.

Judemom 10 months ago

Verizon! don't Kissass Jude Verizon GeGeGe

jude 10 months ago

Verizon is by far the better carrier for the new Triton 4g phone. working for major defense company with the use of att, my vzw phone still reach far and provide better service. Blackberry stands regain there market share with a new product. The BB brand is here to stay. The VZW brand will continue to provide the service and technology that will propel BB into new territory in unstable market. BB will rise to the top because it understands the temper of the customer, the market. VZW and BB understand the need of the customer personal and professional. VZW will be the first to carry the product.

boris 11 months ago

black berry is the best

let it go to Tmobile as it is the southwest airlines of the cellphone carrier network... not always the prettiest but always delivers the best service

I want this phone too! Sprint go get it!!

Greg 11 months ago

should be on sprint....I have a trucking company and drive my own rig and have never had a problem on the sprint network.

Rich 11 months ago

Ok enough is enough, this phone was supposed to be out in June of 2010, now Dec. 2011. It is outdated now, BB too late. I have been a BB user for 7 years, as much as I have to I am going to Droid, At least they can get a phone out when its not the bottom of the pack in specs. No wonder stock is dropping like a rock and lay offs are happening. RIM seems DONE to me...Im gone tired of waiting.

DEE 11 months ago

I really hope SPRINT gets fists dibs on it, cause I'm really close to switching carriers if they don't. I've been a loyal customer for over 7 years, and I love BB, but the current variety they have sucks.

Verizon is the best carrier out there. Their customer service isn't the best, but their coverage is unchallenged. Sprint and T-Mobile are the worst carriers I have ever seen.

CellUser 11 months ago

T-Mobile is preferred carrier.

Verizon has the best phone coverage over all the others especially for business people. Let's hope Verizon gets it!

Maybe then Verizon could start lowering their prices a bit.

Verizon has the best phone coverage. 4G BlackBerry should go to Verizon.

April 12 months ago

I have a BlackBerry Storm2 and I was waiting to see if they would ever release a new BB in 4G which I see they have, but I don't like it because it has a smaller screen than what I have now. That's lame.

ATT ATT ATT plase step it up and get that phone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I SOOOOOOO WANT It

Kenny_aka_NewYork 12 months ago

My carrier is AT&T but I hope ALL carriers get the new BlackBerry Triton. I've had my BB Bold 9700 for a little over a year now and I've never had any major problems with it.(Except the fact that it doesn't have a flash player!) I'm not into touch screens and I think BB should keep the keypad for those of us that like to keep things simple. The added 4G speed is a plus though and I hope to see BB get even better in the future. (Don't forget the flash player!) Go BlackBerry!

Emily 12 months ago

SPRINT.......PLEASE, we are begggging!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gordo 12 months ago

I really honestly think it should be sprint that should get it. I've never had problems with sprint service out of the 10 years I've been with them. And still planning on staying with them with all 5 of my family members cell phones that I have on my account. Another thing, you see most of the other's like AT&T, VORIZEN, and the other's, they are forever getting more of a varriety and choices of different cells that the costumers can choose from. SPRINT needs to get more of their choice and so customers will be able to have more of a variety to their satisfactory.. Thank you..!!

Chris Napa,CA 12 months ago

This is really common knowledge people. Sprint has wimax and yes its fast like 4k down, but Verizon is about 12 down stream. This is Springs data card 4g vs Verizon 4g data card in the SF bay area. If you are in a Verizon 4g area you WILL have the fastest up and down speeds. Yes Sprint is next in line with 4g speeds. Verizon are the only two carriers with true.4g speeds. ATT and T-Mobile both has hspa for their 3g. They have managed to slice into those data 3g data packets and made them hold more data making for a ENHANCED 3g network but absolutely not a 4g network. Verizon and Sprint tried to sue ATT over their false advertising on a 4g network. The international telecommunications commission is actually in the pocket of att. This commission in mid 2010 lowered their speed data transfer rates lower to make it so ATT enhanced 3g network could actually qualify as 4g. If you don't travel outside of the USA very often I see no reason to get ATT Service at all. Why would anyone pay more for less? Once ATT lawyers go thru congress and regulatory agencies to swallow up t-mobile in about 2 or 3 years a new customers choice should be even easier. Verizon or Sprint. Sprint works on a domestic rate thru Canada and Mexico mainland and Mexico off the coast on a cruise ship. Ass well as Puerto Rico and the virgin islands. Really if you go to Asia or Europe do you really want to pay the astronomical rates of ATT over there anyway. Also Europe uses Vodafone with is the parent company of Verizon. Sprint or Verizon is the only choice. Then you could go to ghettro aka metro pCS. They are on the Verizon network and now have LTE 4g.

Jeffery Baxter 12 months ago

I think new Blackberry 4G phone will be available on the Sprint landmark 1st due to the fact that Sprint has the most reliable 4G network.

rob the brain W 13 months ago

here here, now that is a good idea.

the idea of the unlocked market is a brilliant only the FCC

wont have it. the network providers wont agree to it, they lobby for regulations so they can control market and get you the consumer with no choice but to get your dream phone for them and only them.

just recently consumer rights activist just nailed a big win in court, the ruling was that your Cell phone is a privet item due to the fact that most if not all people store privet info on the cell phone the long and short of it is that you cell phone is your privet property and the network provider has no control over it.... meaning, unlocking your phone is no longer an nonlegal thing to do. that said there are still ways to distribute the phones throughout the USA it has to be sold by a network.

but still AT&T looks good, RIM just loves them.

Steve 13 months ago

WOW! Lots of ideas as far as carriers go. I've been with Sprint - national coverage sucks! West of Omaha it's nonexistent until you get to Reno, NV. Version - good coverage but lots of dropped calls and quality is questionable. Haven't had T-Mobile. US Cellular has great, dependable coverage and their national coverage is superior to most. Been with them now for 4+ years. They're not cheap and that's a concern to some but if you NEED the coverage, it's there for you to use. Never lost a call or coverage from Iowa to California. Running a Blackberry 8330 with the big data package and waiting for the "Triton" to be released. If US Cellular doesn't get it right away I'll wait.

Sell it unlocked and let the customer decide which carrier to go with.

Sounds a lot like what most every other phone already can do. Congrats, RIM, for finally catching up. Now if HP/Palm can do the same and actually release something they announce....

rob the brain w 13 months ago

even if it is fake RIM needs to keep up with the evolution of the ever fast changing technology. I guess what I mean is there will be a 4g phone soon to come, rather the word would be sooner or later its coming. HTC is the only one that is 4G ready and apple has yet respond so RIM could be the second one capitalizing on apples release date

Rob the brain W 13 months ago

I like how all people are getting in on this forgetting the numbers game the phone maker and the network provider play with each other and the proof is in the history of sales... its all about the sales. RIM success started with sprint with the very first blackberry and sold more berrys then any other phone they offered, then verizon got in on the act and so RIM released the newer cooler berrys with them, then comes AT&T out selling T MOBIL VERIZON SPRINT combined and that is why apple released the first IPhone with AT&T. so from now till June the network that push more berrys will be the winner and worthy of the new berry, and the proof of that is the roomers that IPhone will no longer be supported and sold by AT&T are just that roomers, AT&T is still selling them and to keep apple happy the doped the price of the Iphone 3GS to fifty dollars only to show apple that they can outsell verizon, AT&T wants what Apple want "to put an Iphone in your hands" so you can get hooked and keep upgrading as apple releases the newer Iphone models, that said RIM wants to compete with IPhone and what is the better Battlefield then the IPhone original home? (AT&T)

No 13 months ago

Really just have the key pad it is stupid without it. Or if you really want the touch screen just follow what the torch looks like. With the touch screen plus te keypad.

Lee 13 months ago

Why do people continue to give their business to Verizon and Sprint, who to this day still do not support simultaneous voice and data, yet they essentially charge the same rates as ATT and T-Mobile who support simultaneous voice and data. IMO, it's a disgrace that those networks were built without any thought of future needs.

Denny 13 months ago

Let's go with Verizon they have the best network

armada air 13 months ago

I have been with every carrier out there over the years and overall sprint has the best sevice. Blackberry has always been geared for business minded people so it only makes since to pair this phone with a business minded carrier like sprint. Rim owes it to all its business users at sprint that have been waiting for sprint to have the hot new Blackberry first.

Rudy 13 months ago

I think it should be Sprint... No other can compare even if the coverage is poor,

Jay7Anthony 13 months ago

Okay, For all those people who post there comments on here relax because as of today(4/18/11) T-Mobile is getting the new BlackBerry because we have the most subscribers, our plans rank No.1 in the world and our 4G system is the fastest 4G system in the world, I should know because I work for T-Mobile in NY and we already have the dummy phones for display that will be put on display in a month

Touchscreen is more of a novelty than anything else. I believe sprint should get the BB; it has great customer service, I haven't dropped a call, and the plans are great. I currently have a curve 8530.

Dale 13 months ago

I'd like to say T-Mobile, but T-Mobile coverage is only lukewarm. If this actually gets released, it better be at least competitive with the upcoming iphone5 or I'm standing in line for the iphone5 and possibly the HTC Thunderbolt. As much as I hate to admit it, RIM sinking faster by the minute. Ad campaigns to get Blackberry users to say how much they love their BBs and to get them to upgrade to another BB pretty much signal theres nothing earthshaking on the horizon.

beth 13 months ago

think it should be on tmobile, but cant wait!!!!

Julio 13 months ago

Verizon should have it. Verizon has best coverage and would be soo good to have a fast blackberry on the best network. But anyways I'm sooo happy to know there's a new blackberry coming out! I hope it look outstanding fancy lol!

Its about time sprint!! I have been waiting for the new blackberry to come out for a while. I love my blackberry and didnt want to get anything else!! THANK GOD!!!

Concrete Rose 13 months ago

I hope it comes to T-Mobile!!! I have been a customer since they were Suncom and I have had minimal problems as far as the network & coverage is concerned! (Customer service is a different story)......Bout time a new touchscreen Blackberry is being created. I love BB's but I sometimes get bored with it especially when I see all the capabilities the android phones have!!! I was thinking about switching over but if this phone hits T-Mobile then I'll happily stick with #teamblackberry!!!!

lulu 13 months ago

The company that will get this phone --if it ever comes out-- will be the one who pays Blackberry the best kick-backs. Plain and simple.

Manufacturers do not release phones to the carriers that "deserve" it, they release it to the carrier that will pay them the most.

I would say that it should and would come out with Verizon. AT&T might try to get it now that they have no exclusive ownership of the iPhone, which was the biggest thing keeping them alive, so that they won't be known as only having one trick.

I AM NOT A BLACKBERRY USER...I HAVE THE HTC INPIRE AND CAPTIVATE...BUT WITH THOSE FEATURES COMING ON THE NEW BLACKBERRY TRITON..I WOULD DEFINATELY PURCHASE IT WHEN IT COMES OUT

PixiePirate 14 months ago

Hey peeps, Im due an upgrade and I really cant decicide between the Curve 9300 or Torch 9800?? Any suggestions on what to go for?

Thomas P. 14 months ago

"i have to say that it looks nice , but it dont seem like a typr of phone AT&T would have." It doesn't look like AT&T would have? Full touch screen? With icon keypad? This describes the iPhone which AT&T had for years.

Tom P. 14 months ago

Sprint should'nt get it first, they have the first 4G network and charge an extra $10 to use it.

Tom Perdikoylis 14 months ago

I think it should'nt be with T-mobile, they have the worst coverage.

Victoria 14 months ago

SPRINT...hands down should get it. They had the first 4G network. Verizon and ATT are have the iphone.

AT&T FAN 14 months ago

PLEASE COME TO AT&T I'm buying it in a minute. it's everything i wanted from the blackberry torch without the bulkiness and ever better. i need this bb in my life!!!

Emily 14 months ago

I'm praying that Sprint gets it! I have been with sprint for 10 years and I love the blackberry the most! I always get blackberry and think they are such a reliable cell phone! So let's go Sprint and get with the program and do your thing!

chris 14 months ago

david one carrier gets the phone to gain more business if everyone wants that hpne they will change carriers like what happend with iphone and att att became the nations leading carrier

Chris 14 months ago

i really think its going to be with spring since its coming out around the same time as the playbook its going to be just like att with the iphone and the ipad

kathy 14 months ago

I just hope the screen really is bigger and is not an illusion? I like to see the internet without having to zoom in it is such a drag!!!! im not that old!!! lol

Mel 14 months ago

this should be with sprint. Sprint has the best and most affordable plan with the everything plan. I just wish the keys weren't touch tho. I like the pressing on the keys.

David 14 months ago

Why does 1 carrier get the phone? I don't understand.. Why can't several carrier carry that model

Misael (T-Mobile Rep) 14 months ago

Its without a doubt goinng to be released with T-Mobile hands down. This is very compatible with T-Mobile 4G speeds and most important its going to be great for our company. Sprint will not recieve it due to network failure, T-Mobile is going to have dramatic sales unlike Verizon with their so called Iphone sales that didnt meet in sales productivity! Thanks Blackberry if your able to release that to our company. This phone is going to be Epic with T-Mobile!

Dave 14 months ago

Just give me a 4G curve on Verizon and I will be happy!

stephcj 14 months ago

Please give this phone to Sprint, they need it and I want it!

JimJAG48 14 months ago

Once I buy the Playbook (whenever it is released), I'll need to upgrade to the Triton for linked 4G speed. I'll do it of course.

RRBB101 14 months ago

I vote for Sprint, obviously because that's my current carrier. I also hope to see a huge (1 gb) processor speed and memory capability to put the internet experience back in the Game.

amy 14 months ago

sprint should get it. they have 4g already and they have the best plans and there coverage is very good. I have been with they for over 5 years and never had a problem. Please sprint needs a new blackberry phone. Im a blackberry lover and will always be. no other phone can touch the blackberrys in my eyes.

JCL 14 months ago

leila 15 months ago

ATT for me, their service has always been terrific and their coverage is great and I want the Blackberry Playbook too. Looks like it will be so much less bulky than the Ipad and probably faster. And I have the old unlimited data plan so I can really rock the net.

The Dude 15 months ago

Im tired of at&t getting all the cool phones. If it wasnt for the iPhone they wouldnt even be a competition for any other company. Then they get the BB Torch. Why? I think phones should come out for all carriers.

Carlosleo209 15 months ago

I think it should be with Verizon cause it's better and better coverage

Spaksphones 15 months ago

Voicestream, OmniPoint......Tmobile all the way///

I WANT THIS THING NOW

kam123 15 months ago

i dnt care wat carrier it is ill switch. but i would prefer tmobile or sprint. att and verizon are overrated and expensive. who cares about the iphone 4 its not that great.

Sprint supporter 15 months ago

There is no doubt that Sprint should get it... hands down!!!

T-Mobile  15 months ago

ok- verizon is very overpriced and sucks, they dont even have a good 4G lte network. ATT is ridiculous, their 4g isnt even as fast as T-Mobile's 3g network(you can even test that theory with speed test)..dont even get me started on sprint, from customer service to dropped calls, that is just a stupid decision. T-Mobile has the fastest 4g network with great rate plans and awarded customer service by JD powers. as a sales rep for T-Mobile i would like to see the bb4g go to T-Mobile as it has the best potential. (our bb rep did say we were getting it when he came in yesterday so high hopes!!)

COld Hard Truth 15 months ago

here's a unique idea, offer the phone, unlocked, and let the user decide which wireless company they like!

Some of us don't mind buying a high dollar handheld mini computer if we can make that decision.

sprinting 15 months ago

Sprint will be the carrier for this BB.....yes my prayer has been aswered cannot wait until the offical release date......doubt it will be the model shown above. Thts kind of basic. Watch every1 switch over to Sprint whn this phn comes out.

Wow, this would be awesome. I have the BB 8330, and today I have the 2nd replacement (via insurance for phone gone wild) ... contract up during June ...

I would so like to have a really fast BB with WiFi and 4 G ... so cool !

Kristin 15 months ago

Sprint should get this phone. AT&t and verizon already have the iphone, and sprint already has the 4g network. T-mobile has the worst service. in my opinion sprint has the best plans and the best service ever. i never had a problem with them. i had Verizon and my bill was so expensive and then tmobile i never had any service. I LOVE SPRINT and i think they should get this phone

Jane 15 months ago

I hope it is Verizon since that is the only provider that works in my neighborhood.

T-Mobile all the way! Blackberry needs to step it up! Need a full screen!

odalis rodriguez 15 months ago

i am a big fan of blackberry, so with all the new phones out there such as the i phone 4, and all the 4 g phones, i think blackberry has to step up there game, they have to make a stainless still phone, with a bigger screen, and a better display, a nice keyboard, and make it bigger. blackberry are great phones, but when it comes to the videos they suck, such as YouTube, and stream videos!!!!!! if they don't do that, they going lose a lot of costumers out there such as me, with all the technology out there please do something about it.. thanks!!!! is time to step up ur game!!

jemrpr 15 months ago

T-Mobile Should Offer It Since Att Plans Are Tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Expensive And Sprint Coverage Sucks.....

d-ray 15 months ago

I HOPE BOOST MOBILE also becomes 4G since is part of SPRINT so I could get the TRITON

gwedo  15 months ago

i think this phone is ugly to be honest , knowing blackberry they could have made the phone more decent looking !!!

maci 15 months ago

they definetly should have it for t-mobile since there just startint there 4g network and they need more variety of blackberry's for there t-mobile

LLoyd 15 months ago

I have not had a problem to speak of and when I did Sprint customer service was there to take care of it. Every provider has its weakness. I will stay with Sprint. Great people and they try harder. Verizon seems not to care because they are overloaded with customers because of the iPhone. I hope Sprint gets the new BlackBerry.

CC 15 months ago

DEFF SPRINT!!!!!!!! They deserve a new BB!!!!!!

Sham 15 months ago

Undoubtedly, this will be the next Sprint phone. They are due for another BB and so far, Sprint's 4G WiMax has proved to be a winner amongst customers. The EVO and Epic are highly successful and Clear's WiMax service is the best internet out there right now. It would be a waste if this phone didn't end up on Sprint. The Now Network has unlimited plans starting at $69.99. The other networks can't TOUCH that price! I've been with Sprint since 2000 and as long as the price is right, I have NO PLANS on leaving!

joanna 15 months ago

i think they should come out with all companies because it would be the 1st phone to do it and make more money

Sleumas 15 months ago

Sprint is super...RIM needs to give them first option on a new model. Way overdue.

Stewart 15 months ago

I think it should go to Boost mobile and Sprint. Sprint is the best! Att has to many dropped calls...

mema124 15 months ago

Sprint has the very best customer service and plans .....they need a great BB.....the style is ok but the torch would have been a better choice . We need to get the next great BB.

Jean 15 months ago

Please let it be Verizon!!!!

JP 15 months ago

Every cell phone company out there tries to screw people royally with their outrageously priced rate plans, so that makes it only fair for the BlackBerry Triton to come to T-Mobile first!!! Best and most reasonably priced plans, guaranteed.

BeeGood 15 months ago

Sprint will soon come out with the dual screen Echo. I live in the middle of Oregon and I get great coverage with Sprint, terrific customer service, and the best price on a phone/data plan ever. So, I think Sprint should get it, just so I can decide between the Triton and the Echo. But if the Echo is international I'm going for that!

Juan N 15 months ago

Have the Tour thru Verizon. Hope the Triton goes to another carrier initially. They can work out all the bugs and then bring it to Verizon under a different name. Veizon's Bold replaced the Tour I have. But before Verizon took it on the bugs were removed with another carrier.

Treadmill Traci 15 months ago

I don't think it really matters. We all know verizon is going to have multiple 4g phones that are going to kill the blackberry... (including the iphone 5). So when it is launched we can wait 6 days and it will be outdated...

YO 15 months ago

I heard that AT&T is going to have the bb triton first.

Fay 15 months ago

I've been on Sprint for decades due to their cheap rates ... otherwise I'd be on the iPhone, but just too expensive for time. I have a few blackberries and love them, so I hope the new BB will go on Sprint first.

marrrr 15 months ago

This better come out for att or else im switching to sprint cause att has no good phones.

tonitigress 15 months ago

AT&T should get it. I've been an AT&T customer for the past 15 years and they always carry the best phones and blackberries.

markn909 15 months ago

I. Say why the f not T MOBIL it s beSt be lol

sal carrubba 15 months ago

i was a 15 year verizon customer and 1 year ago i switched to metropcs and love it i have 2 phones one being a blackberry curve... both for $100.00 a month and includes everything and unlimited everything.. coverage is even better then verizon and had 26 people to switch to metropcs that can also agree with me in how great the service is i hope that the new blackberry 4g phone picks metropcs :O)

Sprint by far should be the first to have the new 4G blackberry afterall sprint was the first carrier to have 4G!!

lazz 15 months ago

service should be with t-mobile all the way!!!!!

fine_diamonds7 15 months ago

this sounds awesome! it should probably go to t-mobile, although it may go to Verizon. I must say though, this phone sounds drool-able, if only it had a qwerty, then it would be untouchable!

Andrew T-Mobile Rep 15 months ago

Sprint's 4g is lower than T-Mobile's 3g. T-Mobile has the HSPA+ for 3g which boost its bandwidth for 3g. Verizon is capped at a wopping 400Kbps and sprint is slower than F@#$ along with ATT. If you want an overpopulated carrier that drops calls and hardly goes by what it stands for ("worlds fastest 3g network") then att is perfect for you. If you want a toy for a carrier that "supplies" 4G network that hardly even works 15% of the time then sprint is the one. If you want an overpriced and slow production network that sucks with any phone at its internet speed then go with verizon. If you want a company you can depend on that has the US's fastest speeds in almost any given location with signal than T-Mobile is the network for you. Enough said, test all of my points out and see for yourself. Everytime a customer walks in to my store with an iphone I run a speed test with my old phone and mine always beats everybody else's. T-Mobile on the rise!

Victoritta 15 months ago

T-MOBILE no argument there! oh my gosh when is this coming out?!

JAOR 16 months ago

I hope it goes with Sprint. Sprint needs to have more variety on phones.

VinceBerry 16 months ago

This phone is a myth. Releases for 2011 include a new Storm, a touch Curve, a new Bold and another touch screen for AT&T along with a new Torch model. none of them look anything like the render above.

Jamall 16 months ago

I think T-Mobile should get it because we have great service and great coverage, are plans are reasonable as well as a great BlackBerry selection! We don't have a signature phone as of right now so focusing on this phone wouldn't be a problem at all.

It should be Sprint of course!!!

al 16 months ago

I often travel overseeas and hear complaints of many AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and other carriers because their users cannot receive or send emails, text messages, or even BB messages in some locations. With T-Mobile I never had that problem. For us business travelers who have to depend on a reliable network when roaming charges may apply, make it T-Mobile.

Brett 16 months ago

I don’t understand why anyone would want anything other than Verizon? (Besides price) Verizon’s 4g is 2-4x as fast as others and the coverage area is many times greater. People are always telling me that ATT, T Mobile ect. work just fine but there calls to me are always getting dropped… I have had Verizon for 6 years and had maybe 6 dropped calls… I also travel a lot with people that have other carriers and have them use my Verizon phone due to their lack of signal. Verizon costs more for a reason!

magicity  16 months ago

I think it should come to AT&T they are one of the best cell phone companies out there.... so lets go AT&T

jluv3223 16 months ago

I have some in side info on the phone and sprint will be getting the exclusive rights to the phone. As far as the pic above it's a fake the new bb will be a full touch screen comparable to the iphone. I've was with verizon for 3 years 03-06 then switched to sprint and have been with them since, and i must say sprint by far has the best coverage of the 2.

Please give us a 9000 size keypad are bigger, not smaller

I have the bold 9000 I would love to see this size

Phone with track pad OS 6 and a updated camera

And more memory. I do not under stand why the

Bold has gotten smaller when they have the curve &

Perl. The Torch keypad is to cramped with no travail.

So AT&T by not selling the bold we are not going to

bye the Torch we are going to leave.

tim 16 months ago

Zo 16 months ago

I think Verizon should get it, since its kinda like the Storm. My only thing is every other network already has OS 6 for their BlackBerrys and Verizon doesn't. Sprint don't need it because they got the EVO and the Epic both running on 4G and the BB Style..for real..no for Sprint. Then we have T-Mobile with their my touch with 4G and otha really good phones plus the BB Bold 9780 with OS 6 so..no for T-Mobile. And last but not least is AT&T...that's enough rite there. Alone they have the iPhone nd I believe they jus got Windows (T-Mobile too) their BB Torch running on OS 6 and a bunch of other android Samsung type phones..so no with AT&T. I don't think Verizon has anything really to offer as far as coverage/reception (which is great) Verizon needs a big break..I feel like they not up to speed yet..nothing ok really catching my eye. So believe if Verizon got it that would be awsome! Thanks for taking the time in reading this. Hopefully this catches somebodies attention

Luis 17 months ago

I think sprint has made a lot of improvement in the past years....besides they have the best plans..no other carrier can compete with sprint. At&t and verizon always get the best phones..its time for SPRINT now to come out with this blackberry triton..Dont let us down SPRINT!!!!

jay 17 months ago

Sprint is not popular enough for this phone and does not have the greatest coverage. At&t is already known for the iphone. Tmobile just all around is no good. Therefore i think this new blackberry should be with verizon.

vzw 17 months ago

The Triton seems like a perfect phone for verizon. It seems to be made like the iphone which would be great for verizon to have a blackberry like that...the only thing i think the Triton shouldn't have is touch screen, especially if its the double click like the storm its annoying to have to click a touch screen.

stephanie  17 months ago

it should be put on verizon. verizon has the best coverage and the blackberry triton would fit verizon's image. and they're 4g!!!!!!! :D

best-techs 17 months ago

Sprint should be the carrier for this phone!!!!! At&t just got the torch verizon got the storm so they shouldnt even be considered.....its time for us sprint customers to have a comeback cuz we sure deserve it....been with sprint more than 10 yrs and never had a problem......LETS GO SPRINT!!!!!!

RG 17 months ago

AT&T should get it because year after year they have the most BB purchases than any other carrier and they are building a more realistic 4G system thats more likely to work.

SPRINT DOES HAS BAD RECEPTION! TMOBILE INTERNET IS SLOW EVEN WITH 4G! I SAY EITHER VERIZON OR ATT!

The only thing I have from AT&T is an E-mail address. This company re-invents itself so often when you want to contact them you need to dedicate at least 2 hrs just to navigate their menus.

Sprint 12 + years ago claimed in writing what their coverage was going to be within a 6 month period. Not even close. Big problem for me. They wanted to hold me to my contract but they did not deliver the coverage promised in their brochure. Fool me once shame on you fool me twice etc. Never Spring !!

T-Mobile. The only good thing T-mobile has done was to replace Sprint with the title of the worst coverage. The only beneficiary was Sprint. Everyone else has been ....you know what. Surprisingly some folks don't even know they are victims .

Verizon isn't perfect but they have played fair with me and stood behind every commitment they have made. Best choice for the new RIM 4 G phone. They get my vote .

Larry 17 months ago

4g is new so it will have bugs. sprint is behing the ball as far as physical devices are concerned and have been for quit some time. hope fully being ahead in the 4g movement will help get the triton and the torch over to sprint some time this year. It would be like Christmas all over again. Lets go Sprint.

Michael 17 months ago

SPRINT PLEASE!!!!!!!

I would love to see this phone go to SPRINT!!!!!!! We need a new blackberry!!!

jason challenger St.Kitts WI 17 months ago

I do hope the New Black Berry is not only Touch screen I think they should make it both like the torch.

jolly morales 17 months ago

Ewww it looks like the blackberry 8300 series sounds good but work on the look blackbeerys are cute and small and fancy that looks like a toy from 2015

verizonisthebest 17 months ago

It should go to verizon, and the touch screen is a bad idea, unless it has a qwerty keyboard on the bottom like most blackberrys do and it is optional to use the touch screen at the top and can be turned off if you dont want to use it. Verizons plans for 4g are going to BLOW every other carrier away. Thats why its taking so long because they are not going to have any flaws like the other companies will. They will have the latest technology because most of the other companies are already done. Thats why the phone should definitly go to Verizon.

Brittney 17 months ago

It would be a waste if it went T-mobile cause their reception sucks everywhere! Sprint is MUCH better! I went to a store yesterday and one of the sales reps mentioned that they are working on releasing a 4G BB in 2011.... Sounds like good news to me!

Carl 17 months ago

I´ve been a customer of sprint for 10yrs and very happy with them....no problems at all. They have the best plans and am planning to stay loyal to them. No other carrier can match up to sprint!! This new phone should defenitely go with SPRINT......

Defenitely SPRINTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!

I hope it goes to T-Mobile....They have the best 4G network and it’s affordable. I have been with T-Mobile over 11yrs and I would never leave. I’ve had service while so many other friends couldn’t get service especially during hurricanes. So T-mobile should definitely get it because they have great services... :)

TMOBILEEEE NEEEDS A NEWWWWW BLACKBERRRRRRY

blkbery 17 months ago

TOOOO late now, I can not believe Blackberry is chasing the 4g systems. This was supposed to be out in December. They are loosing market share like everything now to the android mkt. 6 months too late will put them down the tubes. I have waited for 8 months on this phone to come out, looks like I will have to go ahead and switch to another system.

JulieJ 17 months ago

If TMobile gets the Triton, I will be sure to get it!

Sid the Realtor 17 months ago

No doubt the carrier should be Verizon. Yes Verizon is more expensive, but it's also the most reliable and the #1 choice of business people in the U. S. And when it comes to smartphones, Blackberry remains the #1 choice of business folks.

layanna 17 months ago

First of all forget all the pros that MIGHT come with this phone if that's even the case JUST LIKE THE APPLE IPHONE IM 99% SURE EVERYONE WILL RUN RIGHT OUT & BUY THIS NEW BLACKBERRY SUCH AS MYSELF but then I got to thinking NO WAY I just know it's going to have problems wit it I hope not but I really don't want another touch screen IF that's even the case & if I go to get another blackberry now & the new phone is WONDERFUL I will be upset/sad but if I wait it may come back to bite me in the ass, so the bottom line is for all us BLACKBERRY LOVERS let's just slow down & wait & see what happens it may not even be what we thought as a GREAT PHONE!

John  17 months ago

I hope AT&T gets this phone. I just hope it doesn't look like that picture 0.o.

c1m 17 months ago

tmobile for sure has best data plans and coverage!

JerzeDiva 17 months ago

T-mobile has the worse BBerry plans...Sprint has the best plans so it should be for us sprint customers. we have mobile to mobile free to call any cell phone carrier where as t-mobile doesn't and out plans are only $70 a month unlimited.

Leser 17 months ago

The technical data are not bad. Visually, it also makes a good impression. Currently I have a Bold 2, June I could extend my T-Mobile contract, however, again. Would then again 9 months ago it would be if Tritron would be available then, no matter what the cost. Although I must say to my monthly sales for true roaming my Bold 2 is not expensive.

lvwhite21 17 months ago

Don't let us down T-mobile!!!!!!

Thunder 17 months ago

Too little too late. This should be released now to compete with the current android and iphones on the market. In six months it will be as obsolete as the current batch of Blackberries.

Steve 17 months ago

There is a lot of guessing going on here, but I agree that RIM needs to get sales going.....which most likely means a large outlet...which means Verizon....

BPW1972 18 months ago

T-mobile is my choice, they are greatly improving their network and with having the BB 4G first will boost it even more. I am so ready for the new phone Blackberry rulz

DA NEW BLACKBERRY 4G SHOULD GO UNDER SPRINT THEY IS THE ONLY COMPANY WHO DONT HAVE A BLACKBERRY TOUCH PHONE AND IS THE FIRST CARRIER TO HAVE 4G SPEED IT WILL BE PERFECT FIT ON THE NOW NETWORK !! >

shanta 18 months ago

To be fair ALL carriers should get it....but if I have to choose....T-Mobile...we need a newer black berry than the others...lol!

JonC 18 months ago

One word VERIZON! I will be disappointed if Verizon doesn't get this new blackberry!! I've been waiting to upgrade my blackberry tour.

Bill 18 months ago

T-Mobile should get it they have the best plans, best service, best company and largest 4G network. It's time the best gets the best. I hope Blackberry thinks so to.

Josh 18 months ago

yea T-Mobile should get the phone good plans for it

Charline 18 months ago

Sprint should be the first!

chris 18 months ago

Give it to T-Mobile. AT&T's network is bogged down with iphone users and Verizon's will be when they get the iphone.

Deviled~Tongue 18 months ago

To go Android, or to stay BlackBerry: that is my dilemma. RIM REALLY needs to consider making the BB Triton like the TORCH - just with 4G capability. This way you will still have a keypad (which admittedly can be improved) and a touch screen choice. Give it the same features as T-Mobile's My Touch, and allow T-Mobile to sell it first.

dean 18 months ago

If this phone actually exists, I doubt very much it would go to Sprint, T-mobile, or any other little carrier. I can’t see BB wasting a phone like this, unless it’s a test phone, on the little guys. RIM needs sales, and a lot of them, quick. They have fallen behind in recent years and face possible extinction if they can’t compete with iphone, and droid. However, until the iphone and droid fix some security issues, bb still has time to fix what’s wrong. If I were bb I would not waste this phone on a mediocre market such as Sprint, or T-mobile. I would never think of offering it to ATT, those guys just suck. Verizon is the only real viable choice here. Of course Verizon may not want the phone, but that’s not very likely. But if history has taught us anything, don’t buy the first model, we don’t need another STORM warning.

Michael 18 months ago

I think T-mobile should get it first. I what to whatch my home cable tv in High Definition 1080p away from home.

Scott 18 months ago

I think it should go on T-mobile they now have the largest 4G network and UMA calling. (That's WiFi calling for you T-mobile haters) and no other carrier has that. Lest see any other carrier make a call from 3 stories undergound or 35,000 feet above in an aircraft. I can because I have T-mobile. Let's see another carrier beat that.

Justin 18 months ago

yes please. T-mobile is finally getting some sort of 4g and desperately needs something to make me stay with them. I wanted to jump ship so bad but if they get this phone I will for sure stay

SprintCrack 19 months ago

Truly this should go to sprint. Verizon would be the second choice. Wimax vs LTE... LTE is faster, but the difference is think of a highway with a speed limit of 80, thats lte, sprints speed limit would be 70. The difference is that verizons highway is more narrow and only has two lanes so the more people who get on the more traffic and the slower it goes, while sprints highway has five lanes, and it doesnt slow down with the same amount of people on there highway. Thats to simple things out. Also whats the chances of LTE highway getting backed up? Verizon only has more customers than any other carrier...

Not just that, lets look at the plans. Verizon's $70. plus $30. data and $20 text= $120 sprint is $70 and $10 premium data charge = $80. Thats a $40 difference. Everyones switching to Sprint because it really is the best value for your buck. Why not have the best phone out?

One more thing, unless my sources are incorrect, its going to be like att's touchscreen with a slide out keyboard. And Sprint is getting it, I believe Verizon too. And the date I heard was December.

One more fact... Sprint sells more Blackberrys than any other carrier. And now I'm done.

C1M 19 months ago

TMOBILE should carry this new 4G BB, AT&T gets too many new phones! Let TMOBILE customers have a chance at a new BB!!!

AT&T should get if first because they have more coverage. Also since they have the iphone, it would give those purchasing the bb more people to have face time with other than those on skype.

S.B. 19 months ago

TMOBILE!!!!!!! Come on let's get this BB on my Network so I can get it!!!!!!!!! Yahhhhh!

Tabitha 19 months ago

Sprint Should get this phone first for the simple fact that they dont really have a wide varety of phone selections, especially with blackberry. Verison has all the good phones and its time for sprint to get one good one.

Scoobywhoswagga  19 months ago

sorry to bust everyones bubble but its confirmed that sprint is getting it mark my words :)

No brainer on this one Verizon is only rolling out air cards on it's LTE service this year. Sprint all day long

Gevon 19 months ago

I hope this comes to Sprint. I just switched to Sprint and have the HTC Evo 4g, and Sprint is an amazing service. WAY better than AT&T and Verizon. I have had both, so I can comment. Sprint has amazing coverage! They should definitely get this phone. I would prob leave my Evo for it because I had two blackberries and they were amazing! Love BB and would definitely leave my Evo for it!

dd 19 months ago

Kimberly 20 months ago

It's confirmed! Sprint is getting the Triton. Apple can kiss it with their poor insurance plans and expensive calling plans. If your city isn't 4G you won't benefit from this phone. Good thing I live in Houston, one of the few 4G cities!!!

anon 20 months ago

another curve/bold/tour....really again? regardless of 4g rumors, some of us really don't like those tiny keys and therefore will not be an option no matter how much we love blackberry.

truly_blessed 20 months ago

i think this phone really needs to come to tmobile. att already have the torch which just came out and verizon is getting the iphones pretty soon tmobile needs this phone. and when they get it i will be the first in line

TEEZ 20 months ago

This phone needs to go to sprint cause their customer service is excellent and their plans are reasonable also gives more rather ATT with their ridiculous $35 re-connection fee if you can't pay your bill on the day its due.

Poly 20 months ago

Can't wait on this I hope it's better than evo

RJ 20 months ago

Since Sprint already has 4G rolled out in over million people, it makes sense. Plus even with$10 extra charge, no other carrier can come close. Even on 3g, I never drop a call. Historically, Verizon or ATT usually get the latest greatest first, hopefully Sprint will step up and come to RIM's turns and committe to million plus devices. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

MHH 20 months ago

Sprint please!

dina 20 months ago

At&t!!!!

tomterrfic61 20 months ago

Hear this, hear this, Sprint must be the carrier to get the BB 4g, any other choice would be unacceptable. So that the way it is. Now when it gets December I will get one for sure. Are you listening Sprint, don't let me down.

MARIYOH 20 months ago

I will get this 4g bb no doubt about it, just hopefully not touch screen not a big fan of those, if so I may just stay with my bold, also let t-mobile get it.

macappled 20 months ago

I'm Apple all the way for everything EXCEPT my phone. Give me a BlackBerry any day! AT&T won't even insure the iPhone because the screens break when they get dropped (yes, we ALL drop our phones). And AT&T is about $40.00+ more a month for less stuff. I have unlimited data, internet, messaging etc. with Sprint not to mention I can call ANY mobile to mobile without counting against my minutes (you don't need roll over minutes). I compared Verizon and T Mobile also to Sprint. No surprises there either. Sprint has the best prices for their plans. I might have gone to AT&T for the BB Torch but I'll wait for the Triton. Sprint passed on the Torch for a reason. I've had several BB (upgrades) and I have NEVER been disappointed. Makes sense to me.

tomterrfic61 21 months ago

4g bb definately should be button, and sprint. i am oldschool and touch screen will keep me staying with my bold. enough said.

nichole 21 months ago

i think they all should have it, but tmobile would make the best use of it bc they have the best cost plans for what u get... they need to hurry up and get 4g so i can get it!

dscacho 21 months ago

anyone think of adding a "hot spot" to the blackberry phones like the droid and palm have??

Bishop92882 21 months ago

@Julian: Sprint never lied about their merger with Clearwire for its 4g network, and anybody with an EVO in an area that supports 4g has little to complain about. In 3G that phone downloads 5 minute movies in a matter of seconds, i have seen it myself. Why the hell would they bring the 4g BB to Verizon in December 2010, when VZ will be LUCKY to get any 4g network out there by end of first quarter 2011? even if they do, they will be so thirsty trying to pitch their network that they will bog it down in a matter of months and also piss customers off with horrible billing issues due to their reported 5GB cap. Have fun with that, LOL.

Bishop92882 21 months ago

It really makes me laugh when I hear people go on and on about Verizon's supposed "superior coverage", brainwashed by that red map you used to see on TV. I actually used to work for VZ, and (BRACE YOURSELF) their map also has their roaming areas shaded in red as well, and they are actually network partners with.......guess who? Sprint. So EXACT same coverage you get from VZ you can get from Sprint. No BS. Stop believing that network nerd, that dude was irritating as hell.

Julian 21 months ago

All of you sprint customers have been HAD! That 4G network you all are speaking so highly of is just low budget Clearwire brand internet...bring it on to VZW!

buffy  21 months ago

I think Sprint should get it. It's only right but the phone is ugly I hope it come in more then one color

Chris 21 months ago

Give it to Verizon Wirelss...they are the only network that works in the US anyways. CrAPPLE and AT&T are a match made in heaven...phones don't work and neither does the network. Sprint rocks if you live on the block or two in each town where they work. Come on ppl get real.

Ben 21 months ago

No touchscreen! Keep the trackball and keyboard. That's what is keeping most of us with a BB instead of the many more feature loaded smart phones out there. Upgrade the inside: processor, memory and OS.

jay 21 months ago

definitely the Sprint network!

GO Blackberry!!

Yomoma 22 months ago

when and if LTE starts to run then Sprint may adopt it easy peasy. Must walk before run, shoot must sit before stand! LTE has not proven it self yet people are on it's jock making so many assumptions. LOL

Oh and btw Sprint has a TON more spectrum than VZ or ATT. ya'll hilbilys know about dat? 4G with More Spectrum = much better quality of service! If LTE proves it's self then it's an easy transition on a much bigger spectrum. Homework people homework.

yousif 22 months ago

if blackberry makes a camera on front i think it might kill i phone 4g i am still buying that blackberry it is awesome unlike i phone 4g.

Shawn 22 months ago

BlackBerry in my opinion needs to stay away from touch screens. The only reason i moved away from bb is because they didnt have the features this one has. So all these in a true like bold form with the traditional navigation. Then i would switch back from android.

dg0132 22 months ago

def should go with tmobile... i like it and if it comes out in dec... that's my upgrade time and will def get it then =)

Quality Demand 22 months ago

This phone looks like the I-Phone 4! Surprisingly enough, I'm eager to see what service provider wins the bidding for its contract. I'm shooting for T-Mobile, as AT&T just got the I-Phone 4 and Sprint is dominating the industry with the EVO!

Give T-Mobile another #GREATSMARTPHONE

kelvin 22 months ago

Don't worry Blackberry co. there not stupid they will go to all the companies thats the reason they the biggest sellers in cell phones !!!!!

vzwrep 22 months ago

I think this blackberry will definitely go to Verizon first. Lets be practical people Verizon has had every touch screen blackberry so far. Secondly Sprint may have the first 4g. But Verizon will be the first to have LTE which is what sprint wants to have as their 4G. When Verizon gets this phone it will run circles around the EVO and EPIC (sprints 4G phones) in speed and coverage. Yes Sprint and Tmoble may have cheaper plans but they also have weaker service. "You get what you pay for." I really wish people did their research before they post things.

Lovemy9700 22 months ago

1 I expected this model to look way more appealing

2 BB's were popular among business people am I right ? Because it had the key board & could basically hold any business stuff or whatever

3 IT NEEDS A KEYBOARD

4 I think they should check with what they're working with & not just come out with a 4G network just because. Make the phone more relatable to people. That touchscreen crap is a lot of work. I understand if it had touchscreen and a keyboard also...but other than that I wouldn't leave my bold for that

itsme527 22 months ago

At&T should start making Port o Pottles because the coverage on the seat would be better.

blackberrydiva 22 months ago

Aww man just when I thought my bb 9700 was good here's come a new 1... if this is true I'll still get it!... looks nice tho.....and what happened to the blackberry "magnum" is that still comin out?

Sprint_18 22 months ago

I THINK SPRINT SHOULD GET IT FIRST BECAUSE SPRINT GOT THE BEST PLANS AND THEIR SERVICE IS GETTING BETTER THEY HAVE THE BEST INSURGENCE COVERAGE AND WHY SHOULD VERIZON GET IT IF THEY ALREADY GOT A TOUCH SCREEN BLACKBERRY THEY ALSO GOT THEY DROID X ,AT&T GOT iPHONE'S AND T-MOBILE GOT THE G1 AND MY TOUCH SO IN MY OPINION SPRINT SHOULD DEFINITELY GET IT : )

Sprint seems to have the most stable network right now, along with the most competitive plans out there. I think RIM would be best suited to start with Sprint and work over to T-Mobile. Leave AT&T Wireless out, they still drop calls frequently, have congestion issues and basically suck!

Gregory Mayo 22 months ago

I feel that it belongs to sprint the greatest phone carrier ever hands down.

mike 22 months ago

roflmao, like the app world or video streaming was something the rest of blackberry's arent capable of

everybody knows how lame the app world store for the Storm really is, it must have like 300 apps! that's why im going the iPhone route this year

Lyndon 22 months ago

Everything sounds dope. I just prefer key pads to touch screens. Everyone I know at some point with their touch screen phones has issues with it so I am a bit skeptictal as the Storm was kind of a let down by those standards. However, if blackberry manages to create a fantastic touch screen system...I'm not totally against it. The other thing I think they could imporve on to make this next 4G BB perfect is to increase the size of the camer to something like 8 megapixels to compete with non BB smartphones like Sprint's HTC EVO. Other than that...sounds like a good product and I hope for once the best phone makes its way over to the Sprint Network!

Jesse 22 months ago

I was hoping RIM's new 4G Blackberry wouldnt be a touchphone. I have a Samsung Omnia II currently, before that the Omnia I, before that, I had the Blackberry Pearl. I love my Omnia. The camera phone is just flat out insane. I really got to see the 5 camera phone to work when I went to Vegas. No one could believe the pictures were from my phone. The pics came out just as good as my girlfriends point and shoot camera.

But I am just flat out tired of a touchscreen. Texting is such a chore. I like to text and now I dont like to text so much. So I was waiting for RIM to come out with a new Blackberry, 4G, so I could go back to having buttons, but I guess Ill just have to wait and pray that RIM will come out with a non touchscreen 4G Blackberry.

Bring on a non touchscreen Blackberry 4G RIM! Please!

bob 22 months ago

Instead of the bullshit. Why don't you just open it up to as many as possible. All this quid pro quo crap with phones and the service providers is weak. Open it up so the public can have access to it, that or bet the bank and provide your own service.

Pi 22 months ago

Have a bold and it is great. Hope AT&T gets the bb triton. Let's keep it with AT&T since this phone is considered the bold #2. AT&T forever. They are number one in my book.

Mojo 22 months ago

"The Blackberry Triton should be made with both CDMA and GSM technology, making it compatible on all U.S. Carriers."

GSM and CDMA are 3G technologies, LTE willbe utilized by Verizon and AT&T where as Sprint is using WiMAX branded as 4G.

Malikah B 22 months ago

I really just want sprint to get the phone I really want the new 4g Blackberry will be a world phone i need it to be this is just crazy why dont they just come out and tell us who will carry the damn thing.

Bill (again) 22 months ago

I just got sprint and the android capable phone. Are you aware you cannot go to a website, browse for a photo and upload it on an android? Even the EVO doesn't have the capability. The button is grayed out and says "Uploads Disabled". So much for Android.

For the gentleman that thinks AT&T is the nut, think again. I have the $99 plan and have NEVER come close to that amount. The extra hidden charges with AT&T are horrendous. I had 6 Blackberry's with AT&T and no matter what I did, I couldn't get the bill below $1200 a month!

I am at a loss. The last great phone I had was the blackberry bold. It has been the ONLY phone that has worked as advertised with no ridiculous hidden restrictions. I am sending back my new HTC Hero after 2 days and getting another blackberry.

Linda 22 months ago

I love my Blackberry and I have Sprint. I would love to see it go to Sprint. I was considering the HTC EVO or the Samsung Epic, but now I will wait for the Sprint Blackberry 4G. Sprint is the best choice for that.

Deputy5211 23 months ago

I have had an Evo 4G for the past 3 weeks and it is going back tomorrow morning. Their customer service call centers are horrid, their 4G is basically piggy-backed onto Clear's WiMax, their 4G has been down in my area for almost a week and the tech support manager I spoke with told me my two closest towers were 96% and 78%, until he refreshed his network status screens in the call center; bravo!

I had a bad Evo and Sprint's telesales group were the only ones who could ship me a replacement. After 6 hours on the phone with them over 3 days, after countless contradictory stories, I ended up with nothing, worse even. I was told to drive 90+ miles each way to a store that had the device in stock, they promised me. I got there and they had nada! Most of a day... gone! Almost 200 miles of driving at 15mpg... gone! Me as a Sprint customer... gone!

Sprint's $69.99 plan costs $79.99 if you have 4G device, even if you are in the vast majority of their service area that does not have 4G coverage! For this you get unlimited SMS/MMS (no value to me), unlimited calling to any mobiles (piss off your friends & family by calling on their mobiles instead of hard lines etc just so YOU do not use YOUR minuscule air time allowance. Yep, for that price you get 450 anytime minutes. Nights & weekends do start at 7p, but if you do a lot of calling during the day, you might need the next plan up, priced at $89.99 ($99.99 if 4G device). You could also go with their unlimited unlimited plan for $99.99 but it is not discountable. At the end of the day, no bargain for me (or those that I had to call on their mobiles to save airtime).

I hope it will go to AT&T... their plan costs me $95/month before discount for unlimited data, 200 SMS, and 900 voice, plus mobile to mobile, A-List (5 numbers unlimited in & out calls), and Rollover. After discount it costs me $80.75 (15%). Between A-List, Mobile to Mobile, and Rollover I always have plenty of airtime and have banked quite a few minutes in my Rollover bank. I use almost 3k minutes a month and am feel like I am always on the phone.

Almost forgot to mention concurrent voice & data on AT&T, even on 3G. Sprint, TM, etc only if Wifi (WiMax too for Sprint).

Opinions are like armpits... everyone has them, and they almost all stink. You may disagree with my writings; your experiences may be vastly different. None of that changes my experiences with Sprint, and none of it makes either of us better than the other. It is what it is. That is why Baskin-Robbins makes 31 flavors. Deal with it. :)

SPRINT wake up and get this BLACKBERRY 4G

Steven  23 months ago

How T-Mobile...have the best plans when SPRINT is rated the plans out of carriers. With SPRINT you can get "All in one DATA PLAN" includeing minutes, text, and net for one bundle, where as T-Mobile its two bundles combined together.

why does this phone does not have a HD video recorder like the new iphone4

shosho 23 months ago

If it does not have a tactile keyboard then it is just an iphone wannabe.

Jeremy 23 months ago

I will take one right now, let me know where I need to sign up to get one now. My cousin has the HTC EVO and it is sick but I need Blcakberry OS because there is software I use for work that is not available on a android phone.

joe 23 months ago

Since BB has gone to touch schreen, you should just go with the I-phone. The BB keypad is the vary reason I bought a BB!! Go with Sprint!

Matt 23 months ago

i think if sprint doesnt get this phone i am going to kill myself

Damy 23 months ago

I sincerely hope Sprint gets it. I love Blackberry, but I hope it will not be touch. By years end Sprints 4G coverage will be increasing and others will just be starting. Definitely sprint!

Panda  23 months ago

I hope Sprint gets it. At&T has the iphone, T-moblie has the g1/ Touch, and verizon has droid and blackberry storm. Sprint is the first 4G and Sprint is getting betta. I can only hope and pray.Cant wait to get this phone

David 23 months ago

Last I heard, T-Mobile has no 4G in the works. Verizon is set for late this year with at&t set for next year. It will likely go to Verizon. at&t has the iPhone wrapped up and their 4G and Verizon's 4G will be compatible with the 4G's in Europe and elsewhere. Sprint's is not.

vizion33 23 months ago

SPRINT off top, personally i think sprint will make a bid at it seeing how well receptive the EVO was to the customers. Verizon has the storm, At&t will have the BB 9800(i think sprint was wonting this one, but seen how far behind it was tech wise) They have 4G already and increasing it by the months. If they are smart enough to jump on this, that will be the biggest move they made in YEARS. SPRINT & BlackBErry lets make this happen.

I'm going with Jim I think ALL carriers should carrier the phone, unless one of carrier does not make you commit to a 2 year contract. Sign me up for one,I ready for a upgrade from my 8900-Blackberry.

Deborah 23 months ago

The 4 G Blackberry should go to AT&T

bob smith 23 months ago

why a TOUCHSCREEN?? i'd rather get an iphone then.

Danny Giesbers 23 months ago

Hurry up with this phone! I can't wait. Ooow and about that carrier thing. Yeah sure they must be available with ALL carriers. Let them compete, so consumers can benefit ;)

Jim 23 months ago

I think itg should be with ALL carriers. The idea that any phone is exclusive with any carrier is rediculous. With as fast as technology is changing today and then having to get locked into a two year contract is too rough. Usually before your contract is up you are vying for a newer phone anyway.

It should be for T-mobile

Sprint4Ever 24 months ago

Ok, 129.99 for 2 lines, unlimited messaging, data, 1500 mins a month, any mobile anytime, and n&w start at 7PM? ATT charges $30 per line for unlimited data, and then you have to pay another $10 a month for navigation which sprint includes with the above mentioned plan? Anyone I talk to drops calls constantly with ATT, I have dropped 1 with sprint since October. You see ATT in competition with Verizon, and vice versa but you never see ATT mention a word about Sprint, nor does Verizon. Tmobile may be offering the $5 add a line, but you don't see anything more about their plans. This phone should go to Sprint first, the first to offer 4g anywhere...

Sammy 24 months ago

I hope they finally include memory at par with 2010! Why show an App World store if they give you the memory of a computer from the 80's. Even more so, when memory is so cheap these days.

Chaz 2 years ago

For clarifiation. I have the family data package (4 blackberry curve and 1 samsung flip phone for my mother). I also have the BES service on mine. I have had zero dropped calls in 2009 to present and my data speeds on 3g is fully satisfying. I will hope to upgrade to 4g BB if it comes out because Houston now has 4G. In the meantime, I will get the HTC EVO 4G for my wife so I can play with it and keep my BB for now. :) Believe me.. I understand the distaste for Sprint in the past with custom rep and admin, but I am glad I stuck with them. With same service I get at Sprint, I would have paid 260.00 + taxes per month. 90+ bucks more for slightly more coverage area? easy decision for me.

Chaz 2 years ago

Sprint's 4G coverage is increasing. Verizon is far behind in next gen speeds. ATT is saved by iPhone and hanging on dearly. Sprint and Clear and Comcast partnership should be the clear choice for business (expecially) small business in the future. RIM would be foolish to overlook them. I was fed up with Sprint for years and was about to change to Verizon, until 2 years ago... Sprint has made 180 degree turn. I have 5 lines with unlimited talk, data, web, whatever for 175.00 including taxes (with VIP discount). Nobody can touch that.

How is Verizon gonna destroy competition with no 4g rolled out anywhere....?

GG 2 years ago

Will this be available to Canada as well?

VZWBBFTW 2 years ago

I doubt this phone will actually look this. or that the first 4g blackberry will be a touch screen. Sprint doesn't have good 4g coverage its wimax 4g. So you can't take it outside metropolitan areas. Verizons 4g is going to destroy all the competition. Hopefully vzw can get ayold of it first.

dogisgrey 2 years ago

If you live in Florida or anywhere it is sandy and TOUCH PHONE is the last choice.

Need a Button phone. Heck with Sprint left them after 7 yrs. arrogant admin. Att much more customer oriented and hope they offer a BOLD 3 that is 4G with a 1.5 Gig processor. That my friends would be a KILLER PHONE!!!

wes  2 years ago

i have to say that it looks nice , but it dont seem like a typr of phone AT&T would have. T-mobile wouldnt suit it ether.. ill say that it looks like domthing verizon or sprint would carry . that just my opionon

CEO 2 years ago

I think it's great... I like the symbols instead of regular boring icons. I plan to buy one for all of my employees once it's out. Hopefully we will have a choice of carriers and not just one.

freak 2 years ago

Sprint should get it first, they have the first 4G network. I've been a Sprint customer for 11 years and have never had a problem worth mentioning. Their customer service is great. I can't wait for this phone

Floydboy 2 years ago

Looks good!!! Put my name on the list, I'll be first in line to get one :-)

John 2 years ago

Mysty Barber 2 years ago

I think it should be with T-mobile they have the best plans.
