The NEW 4G Galaxy Nexus phone - by Google! REPLACING the APPLE iPhone?

By

Galaxy Nexus 4G

The Galaxy Nexus 4G is here. It is a 4G phone offered by Verizon Wireless and has boasted an almost 5 star rating from users across Verizon's network. This is by far the best 4G phone on the market since its entire brain and functionality is Google based. Galaxy Nexus contains the latest in android technology; Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich. This allows for a very unique user experience visually and through touch. Galaxy Nexus is more beautiful than ever before with an HD (High Definition) 4.65" (1280 x 720) Super AMOLED screen, contoured display with curved glass and a very classy textured back cover which helps the phone from sliding around all over the place. The Galaxy Nexus has incredible performace with a 1.2 GHZ dual core processor and a 1850mAh battery.

When it comes to surfing the web on the Galaxy Nexus, you can be assured it will be a flawless experience. The Galaxy Nexus has a full HTML web browser and is supported by Verizon Wireless' 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) data network which is up to 10 times faster than 3G speeds and it is CDMA capable so even if you are not in a 4G coverage area (unlikely with Verizon Wireless), you will still be surfing the web at 3G speeds. Want to share images on Facebook, email or text? Take amazing High Definition, 1080p images with a 5 mega pixel continuous auto focus and a front facing camera at 1.3 mega pixels. Galaxy Nexus has LED flash and zero shutter lag adding to the impeccable performance, and don't worry about memory, it comes with 32GB of storage and 1GB of RAM.

Galaxy Nexus comes with a few fun features such as; Barometer, Accelerometer, Compass, Gyro, Proximity/Light, Notification: 3 color LED and 2 microphones and of course the standard, WiFi, Bluetooth and Micro USB. Multitasking is not only a breeze, it is the easiest and most simple process, next to the iPhone. You can be on a call, look up a location, share that location with the person on the phone via text all while still talking to them. You can measure, calculate, share, change, update, delete and create information while simultaneously doing everything else. Galaxy Nexus is optimized for Google plus which means you are getting a few awesome features that are ONLY available on the Galaxy Nexus:

Android Beam - when you are up to an inch away from another Android user, you can swap pictures, video, contact information, play games together and more, just by beaming it over.

Virtually Hang, Face to Face - with Google+ hangouts, you can literally video chat with up to nine of your friends at once!

All this, plus with Galaxy Nexus, you can create and manage playlists of music, use Google Navigation, Google Places, Google Books, Google Earth, Gmail, Google+, Google Latitude, Google Talk, YouTube, Google Videos and Google Navigation. Galaxy Nexus is also a Mobile Hotspot for up to 10 devices on 4G and up to 10 on 3G! Security is tight with another new feature "Face Unlock". Literally, scan your face and that is your new password to gain access to the phone. No more keying in a password or code. The Galaxy Nexus comes with a standard Lithium Ion Battery, Stereo Headset, Wall/USB Charger and a quick reference guide.

No doubt this Google packed product will outshine many smartphones on the market today and take its place next to iPhone. Do you think a strong product like this will take over the iPhone? Isn't this technology better than the Apple iPhone? What do you think? - ** See what others are saying below.

I have the Galaxy Nexus and it is way cool. I cant imagine that the iPhone is going to be as functional as this phone since Apple always rolls out another iPhone with a little bit more features but lots of restrictions...over and over again. Google's phone is fully loaded all the time!

Rusty, Apple won't always be on top. Technology is ever changing... and this phone alone proves that it's time they step up their game.

Apple needs to improve their game to be able to compete with Android because it is slowly becoming the better operating system out of the major OS's

I have the Galaxy Nexus. Pros include web surfing and the large screen size.

Cons include buggy camera, poor wifi reception, and the phone and text messaging dont seem to be integrated so there isnt a choice to call or text from each function.

Ill probably switch back to the Iphone when the Iphone 5 is out.

One more Pro is I really like the automatic syncing of photos and videos to Google Plus. Its the only reason I use Google Plus. I suspect that the growth of android will be a significant driver of Google Plus.
